About Real Pay Calculator

A clearer number, with the assumptions attached

Real Pay Calculator exists to make headline salary easier to understand without pretending a general estimate is a personal payroll guarantee.

What we are building

Salary information is often presented as one large annual number. Real life happens monthly: tax, social contributions, pensions, loans, working hours and commuting costs determine what a role feels like. This site translates the headline into a more useful decision.

We begin with a detailed UK 2026/27 calculator and universal tools that do not require local tax assumptions. Other countries will be added only when their payroll rules can be sourced, implemented, tested and maintained to the same standard.

What we will not do

  • Present an estimate as exact payroll advice
  • Invent reviewer credentials or claim government affiliation
  • Publish dozens of country pages with copied introductions and rough percentages
  • Hide a calculator’s tax year or unsupported situations
  • Sell personal calculator inputs or require an account to see a result
Trust layer

Useful finance tools need visible boundaries.

Primary sources

We link the authority behind a rate instead of asking visitors to trust an unexplained figure.

Named assumptions

Every tax result states the supported employment, region, year and major exclusions.
