What “adjusted cash” means here
The tool adds annual salary and the recurring annual bonus you reasonably expect, then subtracts 12 months of commuting costs. It is a comparison aid, not disposable income: commuting is normally paid from take-home pay, while salary and bonus are gross. We show the adjustment only to make an unavoidable difference visible.
The gross hourly equivalent divides salary plus expected bonus by weekly hours × 52. It does not claim that every hour is productive or that overtime is paid.
Compare the benefits this calculator cannot price for you
- Employer pension contribution and vesting rules
- Paid holiday, sick pay and parental leave
- Health insurance, equity and one-off signing awards
- Remote-work flexibility and commute time, not just ticket cost
- Promotion path, job security and skills you will build
Different countries? Do not compare gross amounts after a quick currency conversion and stop there. Check local tax, social insurance, healthcare, pension, paid leave, housing and exchange-rate risk separately.
